After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1981, Julie took a corporate real estate management position with a national corporation headquartered in Atlanta. In 1984, Ms. Chesnut accepted an interior design position with an Atlanta architectural firm and later became the Director of Interiors. In 1990, along with Mike Schneider, Julie established SWI, becoming Principal-In-Charge of Interior Design. Throughout her professional career, her design assignments have included many national and international corporations such as MetLife, Dupont, GE Capital, Datalex and Genuine Parts Company. She has worked on various corporate and commercial projects and on many hospitality, base building and lobby commissions. Julie is NCIDQ certified and has served as a judge for the NCIDQ examination. She is a Georgia registered designer, and recently became a LEED AP.
